Mr Lower is recognised by most of the major providers of private medical insurance, however most insurers have not significantly increased their fees since the 1990s. Unfortunately the cost of running an independent private practice in central London has significantly increased during this time, especially one which provides the high level of support for which Adrian Lower & Associates is well known. Most insurers accept that senior specialists such as Mr Lower will need to charge above their guidelines and accept that there will be a shortfall in some fees, particularly surgical fees. Our agreement is with you the patient and we usually ask you to pay the fees and then reclaim them from your insurers where possible.
The major exception is AXA and its associated companies who at the present time will not cover Mr Lower’s fees. Much of his work is fertility related and AXA will not cover treatment for fertility related conditions for the majority of their members.
